A native of New York City, Barclay’s lifelong passion for boating began in childhood, ignited by his father, an avid boater who introduced him to the joys of sailing along the East Coast. Those formative years on the water—sailing, diving, and exploring coastal waters—laid the foundation for a lifelong passion that would eventually define his career. Barclay’s early experiences fostered not only a deep appreciation for the ocean but also a keen understanding of the craftsmanship and lifestyle that yachting embodies.

Before dedicating himself to the maritime world, Barclay built a successful career in commercial real estate with Cushman & Wakefield in New York, mastering negotiation and client relations—skills that later proved invaluable in yachting. The call of the sea eventually led him to South Beach, Miami, where he immersed himself in the industry in 2006, working with Allied Richard Bertram Platinum Yacht Division and later under the mentorship of Merle Wood and Associates. Over a decade, he refined his expertise in yacht sales, new construction, and chartering, earning a reputation as a trusted professional.

In 2016, Barclay channeled his experience and vision into founding Barclay Tuck Yachts. Based in Miami Beach, the brokerage quickly distinguished itself as a boutique firm offering a personalized, client-centric approach to yacht sales, charters, and new builds. Barclay’s philosophy centers on understanding the unique needs of each client—whether they seek a sleek performance vessel, a luxurious floating retreat, or a custom-built masterpiece—and delivering tailored solutions with integrity and expertise.
